Introduction
Provides support and assistance to the Dredging Project Manager for activities associated with reporting, including PMT weekly reports, action lists, and preparation of inputs. Acts as a focal point for Decision Records and Technical Notes. Manages coordination of the Company follow-up team of the Dredging contractor across internal project functions to ensure project integration. May be involved in other projects in FEED or execution phases. Coordinates pooled, functional resources to provide oversight of FEED contractor activities and ensure completion of Company responsibilities. Engages multiple stakeholders to maintain alignment with project objectives. Provides knowledge, advice, and technical support to the Project Manager, particularly regarding modifications, improvements, and alterations within project scope. Handles change order management during execution, ensuring clear reporting to the Project Manager.
Responsibilities
- Provide Project Management support to the Dredging Project Manager.
- Coordinate alignment between various project team members, resolving misalignment as required.
- Monitor interface agreement performance and intervene in critical or underperforming interfaces.
- Track project performance, KPIs, and exception reports to identify critical issues.
- Support resolution of issues through coordination with functional managers, identifying mitigation options and contingency plans.
- Manage action registers to ensure completion of tasks.
- Coordinate change management process with the Business team, driving change orders to final resolution.
- Support Risk Management Program by identifying risks and tracking mitigation actions.
- Maintain compliance with LNG Project Management System deliverables, Gate Reviews, and findings closure.
- Monitor completion of FEED deliverables.
- Hold periodic status reviews and highlight areas of concern for prompt resolution.
- Coordinate multi-discipline interface reviews (MEP, Civil, Instrumentation) via meetings and workshops.
Essential Skills and Knowledge
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
- 8 years of experience in Engineering roles, including 4 years in the Oil & Gas Industry, and 1 year in a supervisory or oversight role for contractor/subcontractors/service/vendor personnel.
- Experience on large brownfield projects including Dredging and Tunneling works with FEED/EPC contracts and execution teams.
- Prior experience in Qatar or the Middle East preferred.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Strong technical, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Good planning, organizational, influencing, and negotiation skills.
- Computer literacy with professional office and technical applications.
