AC Technician

Job Description

1. Perform and carry out the hotel preventive maintenance plan for all HVAC equipment, including cleaning and lubricating all HVAC equipment.
2. Respond immediately to guest complaints.
3. Maintain charging equipment, refrigeration test equipment, and HVAC tools in good condition.
4. Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and utility shut-offs for buildings in case of emergency.
5. Follow all job instructions given by Shift Engineer or other Senior Staff.
6. Report any serious maintenance problem or safety-related issues to Shift Engineer immediately.
7. Follow duty schedule/split duty and carry out other assignments given by Chief Engineer as business demands.
8. Understand control principles of all HVAC systems and regularly test, repair, and calibrate them.
9. Verify building area temperatures, adjust as necessary, and record on the Duty Log Sheet.
10. Communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts using approved communication programs and standards.
11. Complete major and minor services on A/C and refrigeration equipment as assigned, returning completed job sheets to the Engineering Office.
12. Investigate each job as assigned to ensure only necessary spare parts are used, avoiding unnecessary wastage of AC supplies.
