GEN. INSTRUMENT TECHNICIAN II

Primary Purpose of the JobCarry out troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, overhaul, and calibration of different types of field instruments installed in any plant/unit of QatarEnergy Refinery as assigned by Lead Instrument Engineer.
Required Experience and Skills6 to 8 years of experience as an Instrument Technician in Refinery, Oil & Gas, or petrochemical industry.
Sound knowledge in measurement principles, installation, commissioning, maintenance, and overhauling of various field instruments.
Knowledge of hazardous area classification and smart field instruments interfacing with DCS and PLC is desirable.
Familiarity with international standards and best practices of instrumentation in Refining, Oil & Gas, and Petrochemical industries is an added advantage.
Proficient in spoken and written English.
Work experience in Arabian Gulf countries is desirable.
Educational QualificationsDiploma in Instrumentation/Control Systems Engineering from a recognized College/University.
